Media Spectacles: History and Interpretation (5 ECTS, Thursdays 2-6 pm, Seminar Room E123)

This practice based seminar course examines the audiovisual history of media spectacles, from stadium rock performances to other mega events, such as Olympic Game openings, and the Football World Cup. There will be eight hours of lectures, followed by student pair presentations on chosen research examples. Only 16 students will be accepted, the students of Popular Culture Studies pathway having the first priority.
