The course offers a general introduction to the World International Trade Law (WTO Law) and EU-law, thus, exploring the structure, principles and main WTO Agreements shaping international trade framework.

Reviewing the GATT, GATS, TRIPS Agreements and the Doha Declaration will enable students to recognize key issues in the institutional framework for liberalization of trade, and the relation between the EU and the WTO. The study of the relationship between WTO and EU will consist of the analysis of the status of the EU in the WTO, and the legal effect of WTO law in the EU.
