KVS60/EN17: CRAFTING A RESEARCH PLAN IN A SECOND LANGUAGE (ENGLISH)
Overview: the main aim of these lectures is to familiarize the students with academic writing practices related to crafting a research plan in English.

Opiskelija hallitsee tieteellisen kirjoittamisen perustaidot, kuten lähteisiin viittaamisen ja lähteiden merkinnän tekstiin. Hän tuntee tieteellisen argumentoinnin periaatteet ja osaa noudattaa niitä omassa tutkielmatekstissään. Opiskelija osaa tuottaa oikeakielisyyssuositusten mukaista tekstiä ja käyttää kielenhuollon työkaluja myös itsenäisesti.

Objectives
By the end of the course students will be able to demonstrate effective and clear communication in oral and written contexts in a variety of business settings. They will have practiced their pacing and engagement as speakers, active listening, creating criteria through discussion, and maintaining their credibility when presenting information. Through course reflection and assessment tasks, they will demonstrate their competence as active and collaborative communicators in English.
