Tavoitteet
After completing the course the student can understand the importance of lake sediments as a long-term perspective in environmental research. The student can describe the past conditions of the lake, watershed, climate and environmental change by interpreting the information from the sediment. The student will be able to describe nutrients cycle and relevance in lakes and its development. The student will be able to describe the sedimentation processes, sediment content, in-lake interactions and the factors affecting to previous. The student will also understand how to use the information of trophic state development in sustainable nutrient use in agriculture.
