Tavoitteet
After completing the course, the student understands a wide range of sediment description and logging techniques that yield systematic and consistent recording of glacial stratigraphy. Students will comprehend the main processes of glacial sedimentation and deposition of tills, glacifluvial and proglacial sediments, all of which provide important evidence of glacier activity. They will also learn to search for geological data from online data sets, map services and primary research literature for interpretations of regional glacial dynamics and glacial stratigraphy in the Fennoscandian Ice Sheet area.
