Objectives

Student can write a research plan, conduct hands-on research at laboratory, analyze results obtained, and interpret results. Student masters their field of science, understands the research methodology and applies relevant methods to the project. Student can compare own results to the scientific literature and expand the current knowledge in the field. Student understands her/his role in the research community and can justify and explain own results to peer scientists. Student recognises the time and resource limits of a research project work and can adjust the actions accordingly.
Furthermore, students learn to communicate to other members of the research group and to different audience (scientific, peer, lay-man) orally, graphically and with written text. Students learn to give and receive feedback.This course has the focus on working life skills, professional life relevance, scientific thinking and creative problem solving.
