Objectives
The course deepens the knowledge on coordination chemistry related to catalysis and metal-organic reactions. The student understands
- the main concepts on the coordination chemistry, e.g. oxidation state, coordination number and 18 electron rule.
- the principles of the reactivity of the metal complexes, e.g. ligand substitutions reactions, addition and elimination reactions
- the principles of homogeneous catalysis
- the concept of Green chemistry, i.e. the chemical approach to the sustainable development.
