Objectives
After taking this course, the students should be able to:
- Use tactile and optical 3D measuring systems for dimension checks
- Choose most suitable measuring system for a measuring task
- Understand advantages, differences and application fields of different measuring methods
- Estimate measurement uncertainty when evaluating measurement results
- Develop a virtual computer model for an existing physical part and recognise design intent.
- Understand the use of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing based on Geometrical Product Specifications (GPS)
