Objectives

After completing the course, the students will

* have scientific understanding of geospatial and Earth observation methods in the context of different environmental and societal applications
* have advanced geospatial data, image-processing and location analysis skills related to these applications
* have practical competences in processing and analyses of geospatial data and EO data originating from various sources at multiple spatial and temporal scales and resolutions
* be able to design and implement logical geospatial data work flows and report these with graphs, maps, visualizations and flow charts, using software and data processing platforms such as QGIS, ArcGIS, R, SPSS and GEE
* have improved scientific and work life skills in group working, digital data management, writing in English, presenting, argumenting and reporting results
