Objectives
During this course students will be familiarized with the most important basic concepts in mechanics of materials. Students will also learn to analyze a simple structural case under tensile and compression loads, torsion, bending and shear. Students will also learn how to calculate deflections in beams and shafts under bending and shear loads.
