Objectives
After successfully completing this course the students will be able to:
- identify, describe and use the basic quantities in fluid mechanics
- derive the mathematical models of the fundamental phenomena in fluid mechanics and apply simplifying approximations where appropriate
- apply the governing equations to problem sets in fluid mechanics
- distinguish laminar and turbulent flows
- describe basic phenomena in gas dynamics
