Objectives
The aim of this course is to systematically reflect upon the nature and logics of current global crises, from war to pandemics, and from climate concerns to migratory waves. In light of existing scholarly literature, we will ponder upon the ramifications of these crises on global order, global governance and major individual actors such as the European Union.
The ultimate question is, of course, what possible ways out from these crises one can envisage. One remedy might be enhanced connectivity policies across the globe, a form of policy that has intensified over the past decade but with no real emphasis on its normative potential.
