Objectives
The course aims at increasing students practical and methodological skills to simulate and analyze the hydrological and hydraulic processes and water quality from the catchment to the estuary. During the course student will undertake independent practical work on:
*Simulating the effects of catchment land use on runoff water quality by utilizing catchment modelling (SWAT),
*Simulating the riverine flow processes utilizing hydraulic modelling (HEC-RAS),
*Analyzing the influence of the catchment runoff on the coastal waters based on water quality monitoring data
After finishing this hands-on course, students have improved their methodological skills and understanding in fluvial and coastal processes.
