Objectives
Having completed the course, the student:
- masters the most relevant contents of the five covered targets (11-1; 11-3; 11-A; 11-B; 11-C) of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities) regardless of her/his disciplinary background, especially from the perspective of governance;
- has gained knowledge about the most relevant aspects in terms of the sustainability of cities and modern societies in general, as well as their impacts on the environment, the economy and the society (the three dimensions of sustainability).
- has understanding of the diversity of research activity, facilities, equipment and conditions for the development of scientific work within the universities of the EC2U project alliance, and thereby make informed decisions regarding one’s master thesis topic and place of activity;
- has improved her/his analytic and communication skills
