Tavoitteet / Learning outcomes
The course aims to support doctoral researchers in the KEVEKO, OPPI, JUNO and Utuling doctoral programmes in writing the summary part of their article-based dissertations with the help of peer support, lectures and workshops. The course is based on the working method developed by Elsa Saarikkomäki and Natalia Ollus in 2018, specifically designed to support the writing process of article-based dissertation summaries. This method is based on peer support and collaborative learning, which have been found to be effective and motivating ways to learn and write scientific texts.
The participants will receive support for writing the summary of their article-based dissertation, develop their own writing skills, and learn to effectively utilise peer support. The course helps doctoral researchers understand the different stages of the writing process, better manage their time, and build trusted peer networks that support them at various stages of their research. By the end of the course, participants will have a completed or nearly completed dissertation summary and will have received valuable feedback and support from their peers.
