Objectives
The course offers problem-based approach to International Human Rights Law. After completing the course, the student should acquire technical and individual working skills, as well as master the following competences:
• be able to understand sources of IHRL and the development of IHRL norms
• be able to understand the system of the institutions set to implement IHRL at different levels
• be able to critically access of interpretation and application of IHRL norms
• knowledge of the history, ambitions and critiques of the IHRL movement
• be able to independently construct IHRL arguments
Additionally, the student should acquire the following generic skills:
- learn to compose summaries, focused presentations, and concise study from course materials and lectures
- learn collaborative study methods
- learn lifelong project management skills, teamwork, networking, and leadership skills
- learn to present arguments orally and in writing
