Objectives

Students will learn a basic concept of social movement theory (SMT), such as framing, political opportunity structure, and advocacy, which will benefit all students interested in civic activism irrespective of geographical focus. Students will learn to critically analyse contemporary socio-political issues in the framework of sustainable development, including discrimination, immigration, climate change, and human rights violations, by using fundamental concepts and language of social sciences.
