Objectives

Come and experience the world’s 2nd law course with artistic expression (Westminster Law was the first). No previous artistic experience is needed, curiosity is the key!

The course aims creating new connections between law and art where art in the students’ thinking by demonstrating how an embodied knowledge making can be built on law, legal thinking and different artistic methods. As a result of the course the students deepen the perspectives on law using art as a means of expression and develop critical thinking.

The outcome of the course will be a vernissage where the students’ artwork explicates (hopefully) how law is present in the everyday world and to reflect on materiality and spatial aspects of law.

Another goal of the course is to promote well-being. From the early stages students are introduced to competitive working environment, the idea of this course is to render possible other-than-formalistic-writing expressions of their legal competence. The legal profession is very textual. Texts are both our means of production and the product.

The Law&Art course helps to experience law using different means of expression with bold curiosity and exploration.
