The course focuses on modelling voters’ preferences for parties, parties’ strategic choices of policy and personnel recruitment to maximize their electoral outcomes, and how political processes affect economic and social outcomes. The course also covers empirical research that test the credibility of key theories and opens up new debates in political economy.
