Tavoitteet
The course the participants can:
a) Reflect on their motivation for doing a PhD in law and consider future work possibilities;
b) Reflect on the differences between a monograph and an article-based thesis;
c) Identify a meaningful research question and its importance for a successful PhD project;
d) Discuss their own research questions and preliminary choice of research methods;
e) Reflect on their own work methods, organisational and time management skills;
f) Discuss the supervisory relationship and how to formulate and communicate their needs for support;
g) Identify common problems and ‘survival strategies’ in academic work;
h) Critically reflect on the ‘publish or perish’-trend in academia and how it affects PhD researchers.
