Objectives
Participants gain deeper understanding of immunohistochemistry and topics such as molecular architecture and cell-signalling in tissue-space. IHC uses microscopy to map the microscopic distribution of molecules in cell populations, and of signaling processes within tissues. It is crucial in immunological research and ubiquitous in clinical diagnosis.
The course critically investigates IHC fundamentals and compares to other technologies. A hands-on module teaches the preparation and staining of cryo- and paraffin sections, as well as scanning and analyzing the data obtained.
