This course aims to provide students with essential technical competencies in artificial intelligence, as well as a business-focused perspective on identifying real-world applications and strategic opportunities offered by AI. Students will gain knowledge of core AI techniques such as machine learning, neural networks, and natural language processing by combining technical explanations and commercial case analysis. Furthermore, the course will investigate AI adoption patterns, supply-demand dynamics, and attitudes in various countries and industries. Students will be able to compare and assess global variances in consumer behaviour, policy responses, and cultural viewpoints. The course stresses deliberate speculation on emerging situations and leadership imperatives resulting from AI's expected developments in the next few years. Given the rapid progress of AI, the course culminates with an important assessment of the underlying ethical and governance issues. Students will consider the imperatives and best practices for developing an international AI workforce and safely implementing AI while avoiding unforeseen societal repercussions.
