Objectives
In this course, the students become familiar with a set of approaches to ecocritical art. The focus will be on concrete artworks, such as site-specific installations and performances, and related theoretical approaches, for example, new materialism and posthumanism. This focus helps students to develop a theoretical and practical point of view on ecocritical art. The course enables students to expand their understanding of how ecocritical art can be politically significant in current ecological crises.
