Objectives
By the end of the course the students should:
• Understand, and be able to analyze critically, evaluate, and apply the substantive competition rules of the EU Treaties.
• Understand, and be able to analyze critically, evaluate, and apply the EU rules on public and private enforcement of competition law.
• Understand, and be able to analyze critically and evaluate the tension and interplay between competition rules and intellectual property rights in EU law, and have the ability to apply the law in cases where both sets of rules are of relevance.
• Understand the key issues relating to the regulation of the platform economy from the competition perspective.
