Objectives
The student knows the main genres and trends of contemporary English literature.
The student understands the connections between the development of English as a world language and English-language literature written in different parts of the world. The course focuses on literature written outside the United Kingdom and the United States.
The student knows how to express their thoughts following the conventions of the scientific community (e.g., writing in a matter-of-fact style) and gets used to having a critical discussion about literature in classroom.
The student learns to schedule their reading and gets used to using literature research to support their own reading
