Lectures present the emergence of bilingualism at different stages of the lifespan, key theories and the role of bilingualism in the society. In the assignments, the student observes the manifestation of bilingualism at different stages of the lifespan with the help of case examples. The learning outcomes are met by reading the text book, participating in on-site lectures, reading research articles, participating in in-class discussions, completing assignments, and learning about on-going research in the department.
