During the course, the student deepens their Finnish language skills especially by practicing their Finnish language communication skills. They practice pronunciation, reading, listening and speaking in pairs and small groups, also using digital platforms, and do some writing tasks. During the course, they also do homework to support their language learning and the development of their study skills.

Themes: housing and living, travelling and vehicles, food and eating, work and professions, expressing opinion.

Structures: revision of the verb types, local cases, imperative, the most common word types, consonant gradation, postpositions, affirmative past tense, object and ordinal numbers.
