The course introduces students the principles of public mental health. This course examines contextual factors that influence public mental health. The contents include the impact of social determinants, genes and environmental factors, the prevalence of common mental health problems in different age groups, the impact of mental health in individual and societal level, as well as the actions of mental health promotion, prevention, care on the population level, and the service system.
