Objectives
By the end of the course, the participants will:
- Have a detailed overview of the development of migration law from the 16th century to the contemporary period;
- Be able to analyze and critically evaluate the interactions between international law, constitutional law, criminal law, family law and national immigration laws;
- Have gained an overview of the geographical dissemination of models of migration law; and
- Understand the creation of categories and sub-branches within migration law, including immigration marriage law, refugee law, and immigration health law.
