The course introduces methods of participatory mapping and creating experiential spatial data. In the core of such mapping are emotions, values, memories, and experiences associated with places. The course covers offline and digital mapping approaches, in particular, it introduces the public participation GIS platform Maptionnaire. Students will learn procedures and practicalities of collection, processing, and analysing experiential spatial data. They will get acquainted with different research and project cases where participatory mapping is applied. In frames of their individual assignments students will develop a participatory mapping toolkit for a specific research case and situation. Students' performance is evaluated based on individual assignments, active participation and presence during the course; GIS skills are not required. This course is the same as
