Objectives

Upon completion of this course, students will be familiar with various social movements that have significantly shaped U.S. history, culture, and society from the 20th century to present day. Students will be able to critically analyze social movements by using primary sources and various transdisciplinary texts and consider the broader significance of protest to social change in the United States. This course will expand students’ critical thinking, analytical approaches, and discussion skills.
