Objectives
This course is designed for doctoral-level students from all faculties to help them prepare to present their research at conferences and in other professional or academic contexts.
On completion of KIEN3041, participants will be better equipped to:
- plan and create effective presentations for different audiences
- design visuals to support their presentations
- practice using clear and effective verbal and nonverbal language
- develop strategies to manage nervousness during presentations
- reflect on their own presentation skills and focus on areas to improve
- give feedback on peers' presentations
