Objectives
The purpose of this course is to offer a general overview of the central concepts that form the core of Arendt’s political thought. We read and discuss some of Arendt’s central texts, reading both some of her best-known and lesser-known texts. This text seminar requires prereading texts carefully and discussing them critically together during the classes. The readings will consist mostly of Arendt’s own texts, but also from some selected commentaries that analyze her ideas.
