Objectives
Upon the completion of this course, students will understand:
* major aspects of bilingual development at different stages of the life cycle at the individual, societal and neurocognitive level.
* to what extent there are cognitive costs and benefits of bilingualism and where they are coming from
* principles & challenges of bilingual education
* principles & challenges in assessment and rehabilitation of language disorders in bilinguals
* the challenges of learning Finnish as a second language
