Objectives

By the end of this course, students will be able to critically analyze the intersections of affect and digital activism through a feminist lens. They will gain an understanding of platform affordances and their role in shaping both visible and subtle forms of activism. Students will be equipped to identify and interpret affective dynamics in digital practices such as hashtagging, memory sharing, and everyday online expressions. They will also develop the ability to evaluate how emotions, intimacy, and collective feeling shape political engagement in diverse sociopolitical contexts.
