Welcome to IB DP Physics SL at Turun normaalikoulu!
This Moodle course supports the two-year IB Diploma Programme Physics SL course. We explore physics through five main themes: space, time and motion; the particulate nature of matter; wave behaviour; fields; and nuclear and quantum physics.
The course combines conceptual understanding, mathematical problem-solving, experimental work and scientific inquiry. You will learn to plan investigations, analyse data and uncertainties, evaluate physical models and communicate scientific reasoning clearly.
This Moodle area contains lesson materials, assignments, laboratory instructions, homework, revision resources, deadlines and announcements. The course prepares you for the IB examinations and the individual scientific investigation (IA).
Active participation, curiosity, collaboration and regular independent work are essential for success in the course.
