After the course, the student will be familiar with (1) compartmental transmission models, (2) estimation of transmission parameters (R0, contact rates, disease-specific parameters, next generation matrix), (3) modelling effectiveness of interventions (vaccination, social distancing, isolation), (4) real-world examples.
