Learning outcomes
During the course, the student will learn the most important phrases, structures and vocabulary of the Finnish language, which will help them to cope in various everyday situations. After the course, the student is able to communicate on familiar topics in everyday situations in Finnish. The student understands and is able to pronounce frequently repeated words and phrases related to their own life, familiar topics and situations. They acquire a good basic knowledge of the structure of the Finnish language. The student can read and write short and simple messages. They can find the essential information in everyday texts on familiar topics.
The student can identify the main differences between spoken and written language. They learn to pay attention to the similarities and differences between Finnish and other languages. The student becomes familiar with the Finnish culture and way of life, which helps their integration into Finnish society.
