This course gives the students an understanding of the role of
entrepreneurial activities in fixing wicked local and global problems
and creating social value. The students understand how social challenges
can be addressed with entrepreneurial activity in various
organisational contexts (enterprise, public organisation, NGO). The
students can identify social enterprises, their limitations and business
models. After the course the student understands the role of
entrepreneurial persons as change agents and value creators in complex
institutional settings.
In the course we are going to discuss the role of entrepreneuring, understood as creative organizing, in creating social value and addressing complex local and global challenges. You will learn how entrepreneurial activity can tackle social issues across various organizational contexts, including commercial and social enterprises, cooperatives, public organizations, and NGOs. By the end of the course, you will understand the role of individuals as change agents and value creators in complex institutional settings and develop the skills to identify social problems and design entrepreneurial solutions.

The students • are interested in reflecting on educational issues as social and cultural phenomena • know basic concepts of sociology and educational sociology • are familiar with the broad lines of key theoretical approaches to educational sociology and the research trends in educational sociology and • are able to apply these to outlining the social nature of education

Objectives
The course teaches students how to apply software design principles, design patterns, and architectural styles effectively, and document and evaluate architectures for large software systems. The student learns to:
- understand the theoretical aspects of design patterns and architectural styles
- apply design patterns and architectural styles in practice
- follow the recommended software design principles and avoid design smells
- design, document and evaluate architectures for large distributed systems
- explain the stakeholder forces and central quality attributes affecting the architecture
The course additionally introduces students to practical tools and methods for software design and documentation, such as model-driven development tools and the 4+1 architectural view model. The course strengthens the following working life skills: presentation skills, creativity, multi-professionalism, problem solving skills, project management, information and communication technology skills, communication skills and cooperation and negotiation skills.
