Moodlesta on 27.2.2025 siirtynyt automaattisesti suuri määrä kursseja poistoprosessiin Delete-vaiheeseen. Näiden kurssien päättymispäivämäärä on umpeutunut. Tämän seurauksena opiskelijat eivät pääse kurssialueille ja kurssien opettajat ovat saaneet näistä ilmoituksen sähköpostiin.
Opettajat voivat itse palauttaa kurssit heti takaisin voimassa oleviksi. Ohjeet kurssien palauttamiseen. Opettaja voi tehdä tämän itse huolimatta siitä, että automaattiviesti pyytää ottamaan yhteyttä helpdeskiin. Valitse kurssilla "Palauta kurssi arkistosta".
Jos kurssilla on edelleen käyttötarvetta, aseta päättymispäivä (end date) uudelleen vastaamaan kurssin todellista käyttöikää. Päättymispäivän poistoa ei kuitenkaan suositella.
Syy automaattiseen poistoon on Moodle-alustan kuorman kevennys, jotta alusta toimisi oikein, eikä opiskelijatietoja säilytettäisi yli sallittujen aikamäärien. Moodlessa on yli 22 000 kurssia, joista tuhannet ovat vanhentuneita kursseja.

Moodle has automatically moved 27th of February 2025 a large number of courses to the removal process Delete phase. These courses have expired. As a result, students cannot access the course areas and the teachers of the courses have received a notification about this by e-mail.
The teachers themselves can restore the courses to be valid immediately. Instructions for restoring courses . Teachers can do this by themselves eventhough the automatic email instructs to contact helpdesk. On the course choose "Restore course from archive".
If the course still needs to be used, set the end date again to match the course's actual useful life. However, removing the end date is not recommended.
The reason for the automatic deletion is to lighten the load on the Moodle platform, so that the platform would work correctly and student data would not be stored for more than the permitted amount of time. There are more than 22,000 courses in Moodle, of which thousands are outdated courses.
