Objectives
This course aims to familiarize the students with core concepts and dynamics related to nature-respectful business. Moreover, the course seeks to enhance the participants' understanding of the impacts and dependencies that business can have on nature, and of firms’ and individuals’ possibilities to drive change for a nature-respectful world.
After the course, the course participants should be able to:
-Understand and explain the main drivers of nature loss and their relevance for business.
-Recognize the various ways in which firms depend on nature.
-Distinguish and examine firms' nature-related business strategies, business models, and supply chain management practices.
-Understand the many opportunities for individuals to drive change for a nature-respectful world in their professional and other roles in life.
The course is part of the major in Management and Organization, and it can be taken as a part of the minor in Responsible Business Management, and the Sustainable Development Studies study program, for example.
