This course will be taught by Professor Chang-Geun Lee from the Korean Development Institute (KDI). It is a master 's-level online course that analyses both the growth process of the Korean economy and its current position within the global economy. Korea has played a vital role in the world economy through rapid industrialisation and innovation, closely interconnected with both Asian and global economic dynamics. The course covers Korea’s economic development model, key industries, trade and financial systems, and its interactions with the global economic environment. It also addresses contemporary issues such as the digital economy, sustainability, and geopolitical risks, enabling students to understand the Korean economy from a broader perspective.
