This course gives a pragmatic introduction to contemporary Aid for Trade policies in view of Trade and Transport Facilitation (TTF) in developing and emerging economies.

TTF work aims at reducing the inefficiencies on international supply chains that limit a country's ability to compete in international trade. More specifically, the course provides:
i) a comprehensive overview of key multilateral and other organisations engaged in TTF work and their roles;
ii) a good understanding of the scope and purpose of TTF work in an Aid for Trade policy-making context;
iii) a good understanding of analysis approaches and methodologies applicable in TTF Audit (TTFA); and
iv) on-hands experience in preparing a limited TTFA for a given country/region.

The insights and TTFA skills acquired in the course help you understand better the actual trade impediments in developing and emerging markets and how multilateral organisations work to reduce poverty through concrete TTF efforts.
